The Knox College Jazz Studies Program features a unique performance-based approach situated within a liberal arts context. In addition to big band and 5-7 combos, the college's premier jazz combo, the Cherry Street Combo, performs a weekly professional engagement at Fat Fish Pub. The jazz program presents the annual Jerome Mirza Jazz Residency, the Winter Jazz Series and the Knox-Rootabaga Jazz Festival, each featuring nationally and internationally renowned artists in a variety of community-based performances and educational events.
